Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 2025

Octipus Ltd. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We strive to improve the user experience for everyone by applying relevant accessibility standards. This accessibility statement outlines the steps taken to enhance inclusion and ensure accessibility on the octipus.net website.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Octipus.net aims to conform with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

While we strive to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility, it may not always be possible to do so in all areas of the website. Should you encounter any such issues, please inform us, and we will do our best to rectify them.

Measures Taken to Support Accessibility

We assessed the accessibility of this site through manual review and implemented several adjustments to meet accessibility requirements. These include:

Adjustments made for keyboard-only navigation.
Installation of an accessibility assistance plugin/widget.
Provision of accessibility training for relevant staff members.
Use of clear and readable language for website text.
Selection of color schemes and contrasts that aid readability.
Inclusion of textual alternatives (alt text) for significant images.
Maintenance of a consistent website navigation structure.
Support for text resizing using standard browser controls (keyboard and mouse wheel).
Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of octipus.net, some limitations may exist. These include:

Embedded Videos: Videos embedded from third-party platforms such as YouTube may contain accessibility shortcomings that we cannot directly control. This is because the content originates from external sites (e.g., Google LLC’s YouTube) which may not fully support all accessibility features or settings.
